Bienvenidos, Padres
Hola, I'm Sra. Reid, and I teach Spanish 1, 2 and 3 at Inspire. I've created this website in order to help provide extra resources and to make sure your students have access to information and materials that we cover in class should they have "missed something" in class or been absent. This webpage, as well as other teacher websites, is available on the Inspire Faculty & Staff page. See the corresponding pages from the tabs above for syllabi. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me if you have any questions about the program or your student.

Proficiency-based learningAdditionally, we are moving toward Proficiency-oriented language instruction in order to communicate meaningfully, effectively, and creatively in the target language for real-life purposes. A proficiency orientation promotes intercultural communication by exploring the mosaic of language and culture, so that students can communicate appropriately and accurately in authentic contexts in the foreign language. Proficiency-based instruction is student-centered and builds upon what students need, already know, and can do, and it respects diverse learning styles, while encouraging the development of a wide range of skills and learning strategies, Center for Advanced research on Language Instruction
Students demonstrate their proficiency through performances in one of the three modes of communication:
